• They have a fever of 100 or higher.
• Have had a fever in the past 24 hours.
• They have vomited within the last 24 hours.
• They have had diarrhea within the last 24 hours.
• Have had a positive Strep test.
• If strep is suspected, and you are waiting for culture results.
• Any symptoms of acute illness.
• Redness of the whites of the eyes with eye discharge and matted eyelashes.
